My name is Jessica and I am the owner and massage therapist behind Move with Purpose: Bodywork & Wellness. Move with Purpose was born out of one of the most challenging times in my life. After suffering a devastating knee injury, I battled depression and frustration while trying to figure out what to do with my life. During my injury rehab, I began to receive some massage work that truly helped me manage pain and recovery. It was then that I realized massage was more than a luxury spa service. At the urging of a friend, I looked into massage school and the rest is history. I truly believe God used my knee injury to propel me into my purpose: bringing relief, peace and rejuvenation to anyone who needs it. I look forward to being a part of your wellness journey!
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love working out and signing up for the occasional fitness race or competition in order to challenge both my mind and body. I love carbs, rarely say "no" to dessert, and have a coffee mug obsession.
I've been practicing massage therapy for the last 6 years. I received my certification from National Holistic Institute and prior to that, my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton. During college I worked as a physical therapy aide where I gained valuable experience in patient care, corrective exercise and various modalities like cupping and scraping.
I offer faith-based, goal-oriented bodywork that is tailored to every individual and their specific needs. Over the years I've had the pleasure of helping people with chronic pain/tension, injury rehab, general recovery, post-op hip and knee replacement, TMJ issues, migraines/headaches, frozen shoulder and more.
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
